Burque recently intro­duced a $2 day pass, which for most peo­ple is tan­ta­mount to the tra­di­tional $1-each-way. Stu­dents age 10 to high school with valid school ID ride for $0.35. Sched­ules are almost uni­ver­sally printed at bus stops, and avail­able in take-out form in most gov­ern­ment build­ings, the Alvarado Trans­porta­tion Cen­ter, down­town, and at cabq​.gov/​t​r​ansit.

Some of you are fig­ur­ing the drive is still cheaper, when two or more split it, and as of this print­ing, that’s still true. How­ever, you may not have a car. Got a car? No wear-n-tear, and a nom­i­nal car­bon foot­print for the trip. Either way, get loaded and back safely, and bring your bike for extra awe­some. Buy online and print before board­ing for $1 off cer­tain tick­ets. They’ve been expand­ing their sta­tion stops the last few years, and now offer ser­vice from the South Val­ley, Sun­port (via bus), and soon the West Side. If Susana Mar­tinez kills the Rail Run­ner, we should all park our cars on her lawn.
